Must Have CD!

While adding more of a melodic tone in "Black Sails in Sunset" here it is definitely more evident than before, but just adds to the musical talent that this band portrays. The softer songs, which include "Morningstar", "6 To 8", and the bit heavier "Ever and a Day", are a magnificent display of AFI's heart. "Smile" basically takes you back to the hardcore punk that AFI was once completely known for before they started spreading their wings and dipping into unknown waters. I would have to say that the most melodic song would have to be "The Days of the Phoenix" which is one of the most popular songs available on the album. If you are looking for songs that have a mixture and variances of parts available to them I would suggest "The Lost Souls", "The Nephilim", and "The Despair Factor". Although, to choose favorites I would say that "Of Greetings and Goodbyes", which sounds like a journey through a colorful nightmarish dream, is definitely one of my favorites. This is a great album that will not leave you empty handed. This is a MUST buy!
