Cool album

Ok, I'm not gonna bore you by telling you whether this is punk or not (like MANY other reviewers have), but I will review the songs from 1 to 10, 10 being best (note: I am listening to each song as I am raiting it to ensure a thorough rating):

Initiation: 10/10
the intro song. a mere 39 seconds, but it's great to get you in the mood for the rest. Better than "Strength through wounding" from black sails.

The lost souls: 10/10
sounds like a more polished song from "black sails".

The Nephilim: 10/10
sounds similar to the last song, with great lyrics.

Ever and a day: 9/10
more melodic than the last songs, like "god called in sick today".

Sacrafice Theory: 8/10
a good song, but too many "Go!"s for my style.

Of greeting and goodbyes: 10/10
sounds like an offspring song "whoa oh!" :)

Smile: 9/10
its an ok song. Very fast.

A story at 3: 9/10
has a very cool guitar riff @ the beginning.

Days of the phoenix: 10/10

great song, great lyrics. Pretty much what other reviewers have said.

Catch a hot 1: 9/10
pretty dark and faster than the others, like on "shut youre mouth".

Wester: 10/10
main riff sounds like "forever and a day"(not ever and a day) by the offspring.

6 to 8: 9/10
kind of overated, if you ask me, but still good.

The despair Factor: 10/10
the beginning sounds like a video game, but don't let that turn you off! A great song.

Morningstar: 10/10
very much like "this time imperfect", the secret track from sing the sorrow.

battled- hidden track: 7/10
ok, on track 14, fast forward to exactly 10:25 and this track will start. It's not that great.
total: 140/150 = 4 stars

so there you go. If you ask me, I'd have to say that this sounds like "sing the sorrow" if you add a kick to his voice and take away all the electronics from sing the sorrow, and it also really sounds like Black sails. If you're a fan of either of those, this cd is for you.
