"Black Sails" can be seen as the best example of afi's transition to there current style. Those who know anything about the band know that they switched over from straight up hardcore/punk (very proud of ya/various ep's) to a darker misfits influenced punk after the all hallow's ep. I think that this is one of the best albums by one of the best punk bands ever. However, these guys impress me so much with there evolution album-to-album that each one to me is better than the rest. Let's see if there exposure to the mainstream has an effect on there songwriting.... I hope it won't.
