Raw and full of energy

This is definitly AFI's rawest and most hardcore album. It takes a couple listens to fully appreciate how good of an album it is, in fact the first time I heard it I was dissappointed. Not so anymore. Favorite songs on the album: A Single Second, Let It Be Broke, Third Season, and Today's Lesson.

Reasons why I didnt give it 5 stars: Jade is not on this record, and it is evident. Part of what makes later AFI records so great is the guitar. It also runs a little short at 28 minutes. Black Sails and AOD are superior albums (you cant compare this album with STS - two totally different styles), so if you have not heard AFI before then I suggest that you do not make this your first cd. But if you're a fan of Black Sails and AOD, then definitly pick this one up!
