Raw. Angry. Loud.

This is one great album in punk rock. This disc introduced a lot of new fans to AFI, and swayed a lot of Misfits fans to pay attention, such as myself. You can really hear the Misfits influence on this disc, although it is not nearly as silly as anything the 'fits put out. If you loved Sing the Sorrow, move on to The Art of Drowning and work your way here. This is a much more cynical and angry AFI. There is no "cute" Davey to be found here. Just raw Bay Area Hard Core.
