It's easy to just make music in the traditional way. A-ha, unlike most of the other 80's bands, made music with their own heart and soul. You could always tell that a-ha had made the track. They had a unique sound. "Scoundrel days" is a great album. All the songs are different but still all of them share the same trademark. I call it the "green trademark" (after listening to it, you will see what I mean). "Hunting High and low" was a bit overproduced and had too much of a synthetic sound. "Scoundrel Days" however, is one of those quality synth albums with intelligent lyrics and incredible sound. My advice to you as a listener would be that you should listen to this album and close your eyes while you're listening. A-ha's 10 great, "green" tracks will provide you with some of the best musical images that a person can experience. That is if you're able to understand intelligent music, of course. My personal favorit tracks are: "Scoundrel days", "I've been losing you" and "The soft rains of April". I can recommend this album to anyone who enjoys music with a strong lyric and sound message combined with a great experience of a stream of virtual images leaping through the mind and which touches all the edges in each sensitive part of a personality.
