Underappreciated album, by underrated group.

This is quite a departure from "Hunting High and Low". The songs are dark, moody and introspective. I don't think most of their fans were ready for this album when it first came out. It's very sophisticated and most people were expecting more songs like "Take On Me". I first purchased this on vinyl when I was a senior in high school. I loved it for its moody dreamscapes then and I love it now for the same reasons. I often think this album would have been a hit if it had come out five years later. Worth the price of the CD for "Scoundrel Days", "I've Been Losing You" and "Soft Rains of April".
