A Perfect Circle

Mer de Noms

Well, I have to say this is an excellent album, soft vocals accompanied by creative instrumentals in a variety of ways and styles. the fact that the one and only Maynard James Keenan (of tool fame) is an added bonus. I bought this album with my hopes up a little too high that this would sound like tool (because, honestly, who doesn't like tool?) but I was mistaken. you can still tell that it's Maynard, but the songs on here are completely original with little to no tool influence (a few songs have a "lateralus" style, but it's vague). This is some great easy listening and it's only actual flaw is that it simply isn't quite as good as tool. nonetheless, this is an awesome cd.
