Maynard's lyrics in both Tool and APC, are beyond awesome. I'm a huge Tool fan and when I bought this album, I fell in love with it. The sound isn't like Tool, but you can still tell Maynard is singing. His voice is so unique and distinct. The lryics are brilliant, as they should be, he graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, you have to be beyond intelligent to get accepted there. A lot of people think he curses God or "our savior" in his songs. He clearly says on the APC website, "I've never said anything even remotely derogatory about Michael Jordan."

Seriously though, listen to the lyrics, read the website information and get the CD. It's not exactly what you'd like to think it is. The song Judith is about blind faith. Think about all the peons that go to church every Sunday because they've been going every Sunday since they were three, and probably don't know why they are really there. And if you are really offended that much about someone saying something in one song, and the rest is great, then don't listen to that one song. Simple as that.
