While many dispute hip-hops G.O.A.T., it;s greatest group is not in question.
No disrespect to Outkast, Hot Boys or even Blackstar, this CD proves how influential the Tribe was. This disc proves it. They were one of the groups to use a jazzy style instead of a breakbeat, creating a flow to the music. They made it cool to be mellow. Q-tip is classic on Description of a Fool, Luck of Lucien and Check the Rhyme, and he and Phife "tag-team" attack on cheack the rhyme is the blueprint for all combo raps. Lyrics cover a diverse subject matter from insightful to playful. For casual fans, theirs probalby alot of song on here you've headr before, but didn't know the artist (ie. Electic Relaxation was the Theme for the Wayans Brothers). If you call yourself a pure hip-hop fan and don't enjoy this CD, try country
