...of the funky rhymes that are on this album. I remember seeing the video for "Jazz (We got the)" on Yo! MTV Raps when I was 16 or so and from that day on I was hooked on to Q-Tip, Pfife and the rest of the crew. This album should be up there on the pantheon of Hip-Hop works (along with Ice Cube's "Death Certificate", N.W.A.'s "Straight Outta Compton", Public Enemy's "Fear of A Black Planet" and Black Sheep's "Wolf In Sheep's Clothing"). Basically, this album is like orange juice ... Nutrition...for your ears.
The melodic hooks of "Jazz (We got the)" and "Check The Rhime" still get my head bobbing after listening to this album for more than a decade. "Sky Pager" is another classic and who can forget "Scenario", which spawned a great video that showcased TCQ as well as Leaders of the New School (with a baby-faced Busta Rhymes and Redman).
