Best Tribe album of all time!

This album is unfortunately underestimated by critics as an attempt by Tribe to sound like their gangsta contemporaries. I don't see how. I would say this album bridges the gap between their other albums. It sets the tone for Beats, Rhymes and Life and the love movement with its r'n'b sound, but keeps the jazz tempo of low end theory and peoples' instinctive intact. The best aspect of this album is the great lyrical play between Phife and Tip. The way they bounce rhymes off each other is fantastic, as "The Chase, pt.2" demonstrates: "Damn Phife you got fat." "Yeah I know it looks pathetic - Ali Shaheed Muhammad got me doing calisthenics." And "Electric Relaxation." I think this has to be the best hip-hop composition i've ever heard in my life. Truly a classic album that will remain fresh for years to come.
