There comes a time, every blue moon, where there is an album that you could play all the way through without ever skipping a track. Although those times are extremely rare, even from some of our famed artists, this album is definitely in that category.

This album is a definite classic. There is not a single song that you will want to miss, because the production, lyrics, vocals, and insturmentation are all top-notch. Although we waited five years for the album, I was totally glad that it didn't include some of her singles between albums ("Try Again", "Are You That Somebody", "I Don't Wanna") because they would have taken away from this album.

This album flows effortlessly and was perfectly crafted. There is something for everyone on this album. You definitely have some club bangers, like the single "More Than A Woman", which has an infectious beat (like most of Aaliyah's songs). "Loose Rap" is another gem that has a guest spot from Static of the group Playa. "Those Were the Days" has the cliched reminiscent vibe, but it is done very well and actually makes you reminisce about things. "We Need A Resolution" is a catchy tune that I heard a lot in the clubs, because of its beat and catchy chorus.

What makes this album a classic is definitely the slower numbers. These songs are simple and not overproduced like a lot of R&B today. "I Care 4 U" has to be the best Aaliyah song period. This song is just hot. I mean, the vocals and beat....priceless. Aaliyah's vocals truly stand out on this song. "I Refuse" also has some vocals and the catchy hook that everyone can relate to. "Rock the Boat" is another gem that we heard so many times but never got sick of it because it is definitely catchy and infectious.

You can tell that Aaliyah grew on this album vocally and lyrically. I think that this is her best album, even above the innovative "One In A Million". The album is just perfect. I can't say that enough. Any true R&B fan will definitely have this album in their collection. Go get it!!!
