This album was good but not my favorite. Aaliyah did her thing on her first album. To me the second one fizzled and Aaliyah didn't catch on with me. I would recommend this album to anyone who likes Aaliyah but it doesn't compare to Age Ain't Nothing But A Number. The innocence Aaliyah possessed then was geniune and I think too many producers got in the way on her second and third album. She wasn't allowed to be herself. I applaud people who review from the heart and respect people's opinions. I don't believe people should disrespect others ( speaking of the reviewer who called out Music fan ) because they don't feel the same way they do. A lot of us on here like Aaliyah but aren't being honest with reviews ( yes because of her death ). Let's be real a lot of people were missing her and wanted her last album to succeed and ultimately it did. Someone on here pointed out Music fan and what Music fan said about Aaliyah's album...well Music fan has a right to state their opinion just like everyone else's. And it seemd a heck of a lot more honest than some people's reviews. Being honest and true to Aaliyah is better than someone saying they liked something because they miss a singer. It is sad she is gone but Music fan made a good point. When we have millions dying in a war oversees why should one death be worshipped more than others? In defense of music fan ( even though it's more than one ), Music fan made a good point and has a right to their opinion like we all do. And you don't know, music fan may have lost someone very important in their life and feels like that person hasn't gotten the love they deserved. The point is let EVERYONE have their say. It has nothing to do with pedestals or high horses. A person with depth and understanding would understand what music fan meant. Shoot I understand it and there is nothing wrong with people having different opinions. So before responding rudely to others, maybe we should sit down and remember this is a free country. Just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't mean they are wrong. Listing Aaliyah's accomplishments are great but I can see how music fan finds some of the people who write these reviews obsessive. No one has the right to disrespect others. No one has to love this album because it was Aaliyah's last and a lot of people may not. Worshipping Aaliyah is fine but don't forget the ones that died with her and the ones that are still dying day to day. I believe that is what music fan was trying to point out. Anyway, no one has to justify their opinions. People can say what they want if they are reviewing this album. No one's opinion is more important than anyone else's. Everyone is allowed to be different. The person that called out Music fan needs to get a life or at least be an adult and realize no one has to flock to your opinions of Aaliyah or her music. Live YOUR life and not others.
