She stayed representing at all times, and always grew with each album. While I think ONE IN A MILLION was her best CD overall, AALIYAH gave us everything to look foward to in a long prosperous career. Unfortunately, she passed away way too ahead of her time. What she left us was the ultimate longing for much more. She provides a wide range of emotions on this album from sassy sexy attitudes on MORE THAN A WOMAN and ROCK THE BOAT to dealing with abuse on NEVER NO MORE and I REFUSE. Aaliyah was ahead of her time, and passed way before we will ever know what she could have done. May she continue to rest in peace... and no this review is not based on her death. she would have gotten 5 stars regardless... this was THE best R&B CD released in 2001 and a measuring stick for everything after it. just like One in a million changed the whole game, AALIYAH will be remembered as the CD that changed the definition of GROWTH in an artist. RIP & God bless
