This album was Aaliyah's last chance to grace the earth with her tremendous vocals. Her third release was very entertaining and vibrant. I felt Aaliyah tried too hard to go against her usual flavor but it was an entertaining effort. I got the feeling she was trying to compete with Janet Jackson experimenting with rock and a more pop sound. The hard Aaliyah was gone by this album and it was clear she'd grown up alot. Some believe this is her best album but I feel nothing can compare to the " jeep " beats of 94's " Age Ain't Nothing But A Number ". As far as I'm concerned Aaliyah cranked out good music on this album but it left a little to be desired. It's the perfect traveling CD.

I also agree that this album needed a lot of work and wasn't Aaliyah's best album. It followed tragedy and for that some people worship it. I believe most people bought this album because of Aaliyah's death when it should have been for the sole purpose of enjoying her voice.

This is a good album but far from great due to Aaliyah not knowing the direction she was going. Once again she was trying too hard to change her image and abandoned the sound her fans came to love her for. " Age Ain't Nothing But A Number " will always be her best work because it was true to the heart and Aaliyah seemed more in control.
