The person under my review seems to be a bit bitter about the following of aaliyah. I do not for any reason know why this person wants to talk "aaliyah's death made her popular". NO my friend. Aaliyah was popular way BEFORE her death and that is why her story made radio, news, and Tv.

And as for people running to the mall to get posters and other things to remember her by....that is US...the FANS.

Music is a strong force. It is something that can connect two totally different people to give them something in common. Race, gender, age...music is universal. It was Aaliyah's innocense and talent that made the world concerned about her death. And WE (the fans) have every right to mourn her and buy her products in her memory.

As for this album, genius. aaliyah was never scared to experiment with sounds and you hear many different genres throughout this record. Aaliyah's voice was so pure and crystal clear and always seemed to capture the emotion of a song in the sweetest way. AKA "I refuse" and "never no more"--critics can say them songs lacked power, but what aaliyah brought was beauty.

A woman as beautiful as her art. Aaliyah you and your music are missed.
