among ardent fans,three of their 8 albums are considered their best: 1977's "the album", 1980's "super trouper" and 1981's "the visitors".

while their over all sound has not really changed, the events in their personal lives (the divorce of bjorn and agnetha)have started to color their material; (reaching its peak in 1981's "the visitors"),so glaringly obvious to a point of being autobiographical on "the winner takes it all". this however doesn't dampen their trademark sparkingly bouyant sound and it does have its light moments ("lay all your love on me" - the first 12 inch single to hit the u.k. top 10- "on and on and on" & "me and i").

check out the killer guitar solo on "our last summer". too bad it wasn't released as a single.
