Absolutely their finest work

When it comes to the cheesier nostalgic moments of the 80s, the ultra-sophistication of ABC springs to mind soon after we recall Kajagoogoo and the Thompson Twins. Which really isn't fair; despite their pretension, ABC was actually a highly accomplished synth group that left some deservedly lauded monuments to the New Wave movement. The ones worth specific mention here are - Poison Arrow, their signature hit; The Look of Love, a great dance song that sees little airplay these days; That Was Then But This Is Now, from the forgettable movie of the same name, which is darker and more mysterious, and still holds up well; Be Near Me, an early hit that finds them at their melodious best; and lots of modernized remixes if you want an updated sound. Worth getting, especially if you like refreshing your memory of the 80s!
