ABC's Stunning Debut!

British New Wave/New Romantic group ABC combined excellent songwriting with upbeat and melodic music for the 80's. Fronted by Singer Martin Fry, ABC had two huge hits from this their debut album. Both "The Look Of Love" and "Poison Arrow" videos were played on regular rotation on MTV. Obviously this gave ABC (as well as new wave acts such as The Thompson Twins and A Flock Of Seagulls to name a few) tremendous exposure to millions of music enthusiasts. There are so many great songs on this album starting with the above mentioned hits as well as "Tears Are Not Enough" (which was also a hit), All Of My Heart,Valentine's Day,etc. ABC combined jazz,funk,disco and new wave all in one. Dancefloors across the world would accept this new sound with open arms. Other new romantic groups to achieve success were Duran Duran, Visage, Ultravox, Human League and Spandau Ballet. If you enjoy new wave music then this cd is a must have in your collection. This 24-bit newly remastered version sounds terrific. Also recommended is ABC's "The Look Of Love:The Very Best Of ABC" cd which is also remastered and is an excellent greatest hits package.
