Bonfire Disc Four: Back In Black

A spectacular box set

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (10/10)
I have been an AC/DC fan since fourth grade, and this boxset revitalized my interest in them. Five CD's + Bon Scott = an AC/DC fan's dream.
Disc 1 is a radio show that AC/DC did in the late '70s for Atlantic Studios, and this disc is very strong vocally and musically. Disc 2 is a double-CD soundtrack to the direct-to-video concert film "Let There Be Rock: The Movie." This is the highlight of the boxset - every song is a masterpiece, and every tune stays in your head for a long time. The 13-minute anthem "Bad Boy Boogie" is the best song AC/DC ever cut.
Disc 3 is a collection of altered and live songs. This is also a very strong showing, especially the alternate version of "Touch Too Much" and the mother of "Whole Lotta Rosie" titled "Dirty Eyes."
The one flaw is the inclusion of the entire studio album "Back In Black," which even the most casual AC/DC fan already owns. It matters little. Most of the time I pop in "Back In Black" anyway after listening to the other four CD's just for the heck of it.
A must-have.
