The most recognizable tunes off "The Bridge" include the hit single "Beautiful Life", and possibly the excellent songs "Lucky Love", and "Never Gonna Say I'm Sorry". These songs barely scratch the surface of a wonderful album. Deeper and more personal songs such as "Angel Eyes", "Blooming 18", "Experience Pearls", and "Ravine" are exceptional, if more mellow and reflective than the upbeat dance/pop of "The Sign". Other standouts would have to include "Edge of Heaven", "My Deja Vu" and "Perfect World", and with 15 songs overall you really get your money's worth out of this album.
As on every Ace of Base release, the rhythm section is exceptional, and the vocals are crisp and sweet. It's a real tragedy that this very talented group was written off as a one album wonder, because on "The Bridge" they emerge more completely as artists and beneath their dance/pop and great beats is some real poetry. Highly reccomended.
