Why do I keep thinking...."Are they the Supremes???"

I have to admit, this album was a bit underrated. Ace of Base did a pretty good job with this set of songs. However, what's with the harkening back to '60s harmonized pop? Many of the songs just felt like soft R&B ripoffs of Diana Ross and the Supremes. Sadly, those songs are the worst on the album. An example of this horridness would be: "Always Have, Always Will". But, the AoB redeem themselves quite often throughout the album...giving us hope that they'll regain their dance sensibilities. "Travel to Romantis", "Cruel Summer--The Hani Mix", and "Tokyo Girl" are SUCH DANCE CLASSICS!!!! Why didn't they just put songs like these on the whole album!!!! I think this CD would have had a much more lasting appeal if they had continued with the pure Euro-dance/Euro-pop formula that made them famous. Give me "The Sign" please!
