Well, I'm a huge Ace of Base fan, AoB is the best group ever! I loved their first album "The Sign", I think it's awesome, and their second album "The Bridge" is even better! But when I listened to "Cruel Summer" I asked "Is this Ace of Base? " Yes, the cover says Ace of Base. I was disappointed. Cruel Summer is much worse than The Sign and The Bridge. Later, I bought Flowers, the European version of Cruel Summer, and I almost fell off my chair! It was awesome! Well, I realized that Arista destroyed Flowers and released it as Cruel Summer. First of all, they took off 3 songs from Flowers(Dr. Sun, I Pray, Captain Nemo). They replaced the euro-hit Life is a flower with Whenever your near me, which isn't as good as LIAF. Then, they replaced Cruel Summer(big bonus mix) with Cruel Summer(blazing rhythm remix), the big bonus mix is much better! Then they re-did many songs(Donnie, Travel to Romantis, He Decides etc.) The original versions of these songs are great! Let me give you some advice: If you wanna buy Ace of Base's third album, get Flowers! If you want to hear how arista destroyed an amazing group's amazing album, then Cruel Summer is for you. I have both Cruel Summer and Flowers, and believe me, Flowers is twice as good as Cruel Summer! Even if you already bought Cruel Summer, you should get Flowers. Flowers deserves five stars!
