If you thought melodic alternative was dead, frettest thou not--it lives on in this latest release from the ever-challenging Admiral Twin. Even while rocking your tushie off, Mock Heroic fills your head with melodic sugarplums and lyrical bits of genius at once both primal and sublime. If you remember when alternative used to be exciting, when it was OK to have both emotion and talent, or when the song used to matter more than the look--check this out. Standout tracks include "The Unlucky Ones," "Better Than Nothing At All," and "Such A Saint".
