Songs that stay on your mind for days...

I had put off buying this album forever. "That's just what you are" was the reason I put money down on the Melrose Place soundtrack oh so many years ago (and I didn't even watch the show). But the mixed reviews "I'm With Stupid" has received often had me passing it up.

I finally purchased it after I found it on sale.

When I first listened to this album, I really didn't think I'd ever listen to it again. But I gave it another chance, and I suddenly found myself singing along. Not only that, the song "Frankenstein" and "No Choice in the Matter" would stay on my mind for days and I'd find myself whistling them in the elevator at work.

Aimee Mann is not only a great songwriter, but her songs are infectious in a very subtle way. Understanding her music takes effort, but once you do, you'll find the melodies and those melodies will be with you for a long time.

I can't wait to get her other albums!
