"Magnolia" Soundtrack - A Review

For the past few years, I have grown steadily disappointed in the selection of music available to us today. I'm referring to the endless amount of so called teenybopper "musicians" manufactured by corporations. They can't sing, can't write their own music, and seem incapable of communicating anything of real meaning through their music. All I can say is thank God for Aimee Mann. When I listened to the "Magnolia" soundtrack for the first time I was blown away. The power, beauty, and truthfulness of both her voice and lyrics are simply amazing. Mann may be classified as an artist for those who enjoy folk/rock, but I say that she is an artist for all human beings, for she sings of the human experience in a way that no other contemporary artist can touch.
