Better than its reputation

I'll chime in with a previous reviewer, "Legend" has more going for it than its poor public reception would have you believe. Largely, I think, because it doesn't expressly follow up on "Moon Safari" - instead, it was something completely new.

Admittedly, there are a few tracks I tend to skip, but others make up for it. For instance, my favorite track "Radian", with its demonic intro yielding to lusciously seductive flutes and acoustic guitars, ranks right beside my favorite tracks from "Moon Safari". There is the soaring "Don't be light", a funky fusion of suggestive metropolitan beats and electronic guitars, the laid-back and largely acoustic "Vagabond", and of course the dark but powerful "Electronic performers".

Because of the mass of negative reviews of "Legend", I didn't buy this album before now (right after having acquired "Talkie Walkie"). Fairly, I'd give this album 3.5 stars, with a couple of tracks clearly being 5-star stuff. Rounding up, I don't feel too generous giving it 4. "Radian" alone makes it worth owning it.
