I noticed on a couple of Alan's past albums,,,on Who I Am for instance he revived "Thank God For The Radio" in that he put it on the album but it was not released as a single. Also, on Alan's Everything I Love album he put his own touch on "Who's Cheatin' Who" and I believe that was a top 10 song for him. He has been talking about keeping the living legends' music alive and he has accomplished that goal with this Wonderful album which is all traditional country music except for Margaritaville,,,,which was Fun and that is also something Alan brings to us...his sense of wit is Excellent. Sure hope everyone gives this album a listen and enjoys it Half as much as I have...and buy one for a friend...they will see what Alan can do ...and that is Make Magic as he satisfies our need for the Best.
Thank you, Alan, as I believe you really Do read your email and snail mail and have been humbly listening to your fans' suggestions for an album of songs from our living legends; and Thank you to his band The Strayhorns as I relive hearing "Pop A Top" and "The Blues Man" in person at the Evansville, IN concert on Oct 9th--that song especially just saturated the air...
