Oh wait! I forgot, that's not how you spell it! It's A-L-A-N J-A-C-K-S-O-N.

Without a doubt he's one of the few, and I do mean few, people in country music that still sings true country music. If they were to get strict on what they allowed in country music anymore, I'm afraid we might be left with just a handful of talented artists. Everyone else would be pushed into Pop music.

Alan Jackson shows clearly on this album that his intentions are to stay with *real* country music. He also shows where his influences come from. As far as what Mr. Kienzle said, well... I don't think he fully understands what real country is supposed to sound like, thus when he heard it, he thought it sounded strange. Indeed it would, if all you ever heard was revelutionary country artists like Jo Dee Messina or Faith Hill.

This album encompasses all that country music is. I reccomend this album to any who want to get back to the roots of country music, and hear how it all started.
