Many critics consider the cornerstone track on the album to be "You Oughta know." And it is; the album gels to the 4 minute brillance. However, you've got to check out the other songs on the disc, especially "Perfect" and "Mary Jane." Most of the tracks demonstrate songwriting excellence, with varied chords and structures, witty lyrics, and a knack for matching music and lyrics to create songs that induce emotions and express artistic intent. A few songs fall short of this (most notably "Wake Up," but most are done extremely well. Oh yes, it is also performed and produced impeccably, with Morrisette singing all over the rock map and Glen Ballard producing with ultimate precision.
If you want to hear something of worth from the 1990's, you'd better go and buy this album. It has everything and more. You won't be sorry.
