She Can Do So Much Better If She Concentrated On Good Things

I don't know why everyone keeps relating her to Madonna..... Alanis is a wonderful song writer and her voice an awesome depth of maturity but she reveals herself and her relationships in such vulgar ways. You Oughta Know is an example of that as is Right Through You. Some songs are sad, yet beautiful like Perfect, Forgiven and Mary Jane and some are brilliant like All I Really Want, Ironic and Wake Up. She needs to drop all of her swearing and drpressing songs to let her precious talent shine through. She has it and she's very blessed but by her languagein her songs, she's filling horrible thoughts in everyone's mind. We'd all have a lot more respect for her if she sang songs that had to do with hope and happiness and learning instead of horrible break-ups, horrible men and horrible life. She can teach a lot if she wrote and sung what life was really about. Her talent is there but she's using it in the wrong way.
