A Nicely Remastered Collection Of Some Of Cooper's Best Hits

This twenty two song collection of seventies "Shock Rocker" Alice Cooper is a nicely remastered collection of some of his most popular hits from 1970 up to 1989. Cooper was one of, if not the first artist (early Genesis did so as well) to encorporate theatrics into his "live" shows. From grisly one eyed cyclopses to boa constrictors, his shows were always fun to watch. I saw Cooper and his band "live" in Chicago in 1973 and it was one of my favorite concerts. Not only did the band sound great, but the stage props alone were worth seeing. This collection includes the big hits such as "I'm Eighteen", "Be My Lover", "School's Out", "No More Mr. Nice Guy", "Teenage Lament '74", "Only Women Bleed", "Department Of Youth", and "Poison", to name a few. Obviously, Alice Cooper's best years were from 1970 to 1974, with his original band. It really wasn't until 1989 that Cooper again had a decent hit in "Poison". Though Alice Cooper still records and tours, his music today is just a shadow of what it used to be. This "Best Of" collection also includes a fifteen page booklet that includes photos and other information on Alice Cooper. If you buy just one Alice Cooper cd, I'd suggest this collection as it touches all the bases.
