Tough to listen to, but worth it...

I like this album slightly better than Dirt, because it works more as a cohesive whole. I'll agree with what another reviewer said a bit further down; they really muddied up the production, and In Utero is to Nevermind, for Nirvana, as this is to Dirt. Quite a few of these songs are very well-titled; "Grind" does just that (simple but awesome riff), and "Sludge Factory" makes you feel like you're drowning in sewage slime. But it's really spooky, so it's worth the listen. The best songs, though, are the last two, "Frogs" and "Over Now". Some of the most twisted metal this side of Tool, they give you chills but leave a disctinct emotional impact. This CD isn't for a "pleasant listening" person, but if you've got a taste for grimey metal and can take some ugly moments, you'll like it.
