I'm not really a big fan of grunge metal, but this album by far is one of the best grunge metal albums ever. I have both this album and Dirt and they took me a long time to get into, but it paid off. Although they are home to the Seattle grunge scene, Alice In Chains are more metallic than those no-talent Seattle bands like Pearl Jam and they can take those bands and sent them straight to hell! With the exception of "I Can't Remember" and "Love Hate Love" which almost bored me to death, the rest are nasty-riff laden rockers. My favorites from this album are We Die Young, Man In The Box, Sea Of Sorrow, Bleed The Freak, Put You Down, Confusion and Real Thing. Any fan of all metal genres should give this album a try!
