Great first album by a Great Band!

This album is extremely underrated. Most rock fans acknowledge it simply because "Man in the Box" is on it. Well, even though "Man in the Box" is probably the best song on it (as well as one of the best if not the best Alice In Chains song ever), there are numerous other tracks that are just as bone-crunching. The CD opens up with "We Die Young", a great song (check out the demo version on "Nothing Safe", it rocks). "Bleed the Freak" is an other excellent tune. However, my favorite song on the album is "Sunshine", this has got to be one of the most underrated songs in rock music history, I love it! Jerry Cantrell is fantastic on this album, as always, and Layne Staley's voice sounds great. The harmony between the two is incredible, especially on the melodious "I Can't Remember". I gave this album only 4 stars because it is not as good as "Dirt". What this needed was a song like "Down In a Hole" to provide temporary relief from the unceasing assault of hard-rock. I definitely recommend this album.
