Although Sap has "4" songs on it, (i put quotes around four beacause there is a bonus song "love song"), its one of the best cds i've ever heard.

My only problem with Sap is the fact that the production isnt that good. The instruments could be turned up just a tad. But oh well.

Sap has 2 of my all time favorite Alice Songs

Brother: Arguably Alice's best song. I LOVE THIS SONG. I would recommend anyone buy this cd just for this song. The only thing better than this version is the unplugged version (where jerry's vocal skills are nigh perfect).

Got me Wrong: Not one of my favorite Alice songs, but it will grow on you. Especially what jerry does with the guitars during the chorus.

Right turn: Another of my Favorite Alice songs. It features Mark Arm of Mudhoney and the Chris Cornell of the Mighty Soundgarden. Wow. I love this song. Whats not to love about Cornell, Arm, Jerry and Layne all singing?

Am I Inside: the darkest song on the album. Probably cuz layne wrote it. But whatever the reason, i dont like the guitars in this one, so its an okay selection. Listenable, but just as easily skipped.

Thats it for the official songs. If this were just Brother, Got me Wrong, and Right turn, i would give Sap 5 stars withouth hesitation, but Am i Inside is included. So deduction of one star.

If you dont have it already, you should purchase Jar of Flies along w/Sap. Its even better than Sap.
