The Best Live Album Around

I have loved AIC since I first heard Man In The Box and have been hooked ever since. I saw them live twice, but would have sold my first born to see AIC Unplugged. To me they pulled off the ultimate coup de etat at the time, meaning, at the time, grunge(to the indignant pop freaks) was plug in your electric and sing loud. This album showed that beauty can come from anywhere. On that night, this album encapsulated and preserved one the greatest bands ever. Never afraid to tackle topics, wether personal or social, AIC attacked the critics and cynics and made some believers. Down In A Hole is my favorite song and when Staley and Cantrell played that song, I was left stunned. Never had I heard such depth behind a performance, and sadly, Layne Staley and co. won't be repeating it. Rooster, No Excuses, and Nutshell,the album is filled with lasting impressions from a great group of guys named Alice In Chains. Thanks Layne
