A friend of mine has been telling me for a long time now, listen to Alice in Chains, get their unplugged CD, and I would always make like I listened to him and thought to my self "ok, right, they are that good my butt." So one day, I was really board, and picked up the Alice in Chains unplugged CD. I was floored, and about a day or two later I picked up all their CD's and the Unplugged DVD. Maybe its just me, but I think Unplugged was the peak of AIC's career. It was perfect, even the one blatant mistake Layne Stailey made was freaking perfect. I think they sound their best playing acoustic, but they are great none the less. Noone can deny the perfect harmonies that Stailey and Cantrell can create, noone. Layne has one of the greatest rock voices ever, and they rival any of the classic rock bands for the "greatest and" title, at least I think. Down in a Hole acoustic is just amazing. Few bands can play their songs acoustically and sound as good or better than they do on the studio recordings, AIC is one of those bands. Lets just hope that Layne Stailey can get off the drugs so AIC can reunite. Its time for a new AIC tour and album
