A Must Have From AIC!!!

Unplugged in a nutshell is one of the greatest acoustic albums of time. This live album from MTV's Unplugged show covers most of the band's career, but curiously skips over Facelift, which left me wondering what an acoustic version of "Man In The Box" would sound like. Anyways, Jerry & Layne are in top form. Scott Olson fills in second guitar so that Layne can concentrate on his singing, and in my opinion, his vocals have never sounded better. Perhaps it is the ambience of the setting that so suits his voice. The show also gives the band a chance to showcase a rarely seen sense of humor, as witnessed by the humorous interplay between band members between songs. Jerry Cantrell's alternate tunings work well on the acoustic guitar for the songs. An album full of treats for all!
