During late 2002/early 2003,there was huge crisis in the music world:no Alicia Keys!I mean,her legendary debut Songs In a Minor had already made enough history,but people wanted more.And she gave us more with this one.Alicia DEFINITELY passes the sophomore jinx and then some with this soul-filled beautiful piece of music.Alicia's voice is never better,especially in the songs that sound like Aretha or Chaka would have made back then,examples being the "Love Don't Cost A Thing" of 2004(except this song is actually good) "If I Ain't Got You"the '60's flavored "Wake Up",and the made-for-classic remake of Gladys Knight's "If I Was Your Woman",where Alicia makes the song sound almost as good as the original.And,Alicia has a little feistyness that she never showed in Songs In A Minor,that being the upbeat "Heartburn" which sounds like something an R&B veteran would make.I mean,this girl makes you even want to listen to interludes.Some of the best tracks on this album are interludes,and I don't mean that as an insult!"Feeling U,Feeling Me" is 2 minutes of pure delight,as is the opening interlude "Harlem's Nocturne" where Alicia plays the instrument she was destined to play(the piano) beautifully.

Cons:1 or 2 of the songs are sleep-inducing(THE TITLE TRACK!) and that's pretty much it.

The Verdict:One of the greatest albums of this decade so far,this album simply made Alicia say "I ain't just stayin here for 15 minutes!"My personal rating:5/5,but I have to be professional about it,too!
