Of course, almost everyone first heard of Alien Ant Farm after their "Smooth Criminal" cover. If you enjoyed the cover, there's no reason not to pick up this album. Also, if you like rock or metal, this CD can only be a plus on your shelf. The songs are meaningful, dynamic, diverse, and catchy.

"Movies," "Smooth Criminal," "Flesh and Bone," "Calico," and "Summer" all possess nice riffs and Dryden's catchy vocals.

"Courage," "Whisper," "Sticks and Stones," and "Wish" build the solid foundation of the band, with a good metal sound and a hard core in all of them.

"Attitude," "Death Day," "Universe," and the hidden track mellow it down a little bit, but the band's talent is exposed here as being true and worthy. "Attitude" is an excellent change of pace song, and has a very good sound.

But the sleeper, and therefore possibly the best track on this CD, is "Stranded." The marine-themed lyrics are excellent. This song uses a number of elements; it's catchy, it's metal, and it has a tremendous sound. Everything from pace to tone is definitely on. While "Movies," "Attitude," and "Smooth Criminal" may get more airtime, "Stranded" deserves tantamount merit.

Get this CD if you want to improve the quality of music you own.
