This album really does grow on you

My first couple of listens to this album disappointed me. It wasn't what I expected, and the songs seemed so depressing. Anyway, recently I have started to listen to it more and have found it to be very relaxing and beautiful. I beg anyone who doesn't like it at first, to please give it a chance...it is worth it, and is a terrific cd to play during those quiet reflective moments we all have. Yes, it is a change of pace for Alison, but I think it's necessary for an artist to grow, and have changes every now and then. And I'm sure that we haven't heard the last of Alison Krauss and Union Station's own brand of bluegrass. They'll be back! But in the meantime, this album is here to enjoy.
