I reviewed this record once and gave it a sort of mediocre rating based on the fact that I did not think it had the same value for repeat listening as some of Ms. Krauss' other material. Funny thing is that in the six months after writing that review, I probably have listened to the record fifteen times and find that it holds up well. It is no doubt a very slow and emotional record, but there is no denying the power and pull of Ghost in this House, Dreaming My Dreams and others. My six-year old daughter really likes this record (and there aren't any songs that need to be skipped), but my wife doesn't (she finds it very slow and a little to country). For my part, it's not the best record Ms. Krauss has ever made, but a subpar record for her is better than an above average record for most artists. So you should buy it . . . six months from now you won't regret it.
