What a terrific album! Forget About It was my introduction to Alison Krauss. She is marvelous. There is a wonderful unity in this album, but the songs are not repetitive. I particularly enjoy the Todd Rundgren remake "It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference". Her voice is haunting in these songs and the emotion comes through loud and clear. On the strength of this album, I saw her in concert and I would imagine that those familiar with her earlier work would be a little surprised by Forget About It. It's not as bluegrass-y as her previous albums, yet that bluegrass is still there.
