Prevails...

Alkaline Trio has prevailed again with another awesome album. I have been an alkaline trio fan for awhile and watch their popularity grow and with it their music. With from here to imfirmary Alkaline Trio enters into the studio under a new label with able to create a album with a more studio-polished down sound. Unfortunately with many bands this means an end to their edge. With Alkaline Trio they not only keep the edge that makes them who they are but prevail in creating an awesome album that brings out various sides that perhaps werent heard in previous ALkaline Trio albums. First off Matt Skiba and Dan Andriano's voices are brought out alot more with the addition of back up vocals. Alkaline Trio still retains the same punk sound and the same deep lyrics that seem to reach deep inside the dark sides of ones mind and heart that most fear to embrace. From here from Infirmary is an absolute amazing album by an absolute amazing band. To be completely honest as well I was very skeptical when they signed to Vagrant but they have shown that a label change doesnt mean a sound change in a band. I have to say that probably one of the most impressive things about this cd is how Dan Andriano has established his abilty as an awesome songwriter.I have always felt that Dan Andriano has been in the shadow of Matt Skiba on earlier recordings...and while Dan has written awesome songs...in albums hes been still slightly overpowered by Skiba. In from here to infirmary...Andriano totally makes a statement that Alkaline Trio is not longer alkaline trio with out him. Songs like "Take Lots with Alcohol", "im dying tomorrow" and "Crawl" make up some of the best songs on the album and officially prove Andriano's ability. Of course to here Skiba's continual talent check out "Your Dead" wonderful vocals and lyrics... great album...buy and experience a band like no other...
