Great new girl band

The All Saints are a British girl band that has not made it very big in the United States despite being compared to the Spice Girls. This is surprising, considering they have much better material and more prolific producers to work with on their debut album. These include Nellee Hooper (Bjork), William Orbit (Madonna) and DJ/remixer Pete Tong. The All Saints have a more polished and mature R&B sound than the Spice Girls and they also sound a lot like Destiny's Child or TLC. Outstanding tracks on this set include the dancefloor movers "I Know where it's at", "Lady Marmalade", "Bootie Call" as well as ballads like "Never Ever". The most interesting track on the album is their remake of the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Under the Bridge" which is given a slinky, sexy R&B sound. Overall, an awesome album that works very well considering it is by a girl band. Definitely not run of the mill Spice/Backstreet/Britney material.
