Temporarily "Let Go" of all the rap, R&B, and upbeat pop, and listen to this pop/rock album full of guitars and high-pitched vocals. Avril Lavigne writes her own songs, so sometimes certain parts come out sounding kind of cheesy, but most of the time her songs sound really good, and are rather catchy. Here is how I rate each song on this album:

1. Losing Grip-5/5. A good rock song where Avril's vocals really suit the music. It is about being left alone when you need help most.

2. Complicated-4/5. A catchy song that's not too slow, but not too fast, either. I might have given it a higher rating if I hadn't listened to it so many times. It's basically about someone trying to be something they're not.

3. Sk8r Boi-4/5. An upbeat, feel-good kind of song with great guitars. It's about a girl judging a boy before she really knows him, then realizing she made the wrong decision later in life.

4. I'm With You-5/5. A sad, slow song where Avril's vocals sound fantastic. Note that there is a cussword in the main chorus. This song is about getting stood up, and having no where to go, and no one to turn to.

5. Mobile-3/5. A more upbeat song. It's about Avril traveling around the world on tour, and how it's kind of hard to be away from home so much.

6. Unwanted-5/5. A hard rock song with awesome guitars, and slightly odd lyrics. It's about...well...being unwanted.

7. Tomorrow-2/5. This song is too slow for my liking. It's about tomorrow being a different day, and how tomorrow things might change.

8. Anything But Ordinary-4/5. Odd lyrics, but good music and a nice beat. It's about doing anything to be different, and not wanting to be your average, everyday kind of person.

9. Things I'll Never Say-3/5. Kind of cheesy-pop lyrics, and a more upbeat sound. This song is about love, and having trouble getting your feelings out.

10. My World-5/5. A fun, upbeat song about Avril's life. The lyrics are a tiny bit cheesy, but still enjoyable. Note that there is a cussword in one part of the song.

11. Nobody's Fool-3/5. A kind of slow song about being strong, and not letting others push you around. There is a cussword in the part of the song after the first chorus.

12. Too Much To Ask-3/5. This song sounds very similar to the last song. It's about someone just giving up instead of trying to make things better.

13. Naked-3/5. Yet another slower song. In this song, Avril sings about a guy she likes being able to read her mind, and being unable to hide things from him.

By averaging, I got the overall rating of 3 stars. I personally would rate it 4 1/2 or 5 stars, but that's the way it came out. I would suggest listening to clips of the songs first before purchasing this album, though.
