Okay, yes--at times she does not sound that great live. But I personally think she sounds okay. I have heard people call Avril Lavigne a poser and an embarrassment, and some have even had the gall to call her bad at writing lyrics. I think that all of these comments are terrible and untrue.

If you liked Lavigne's first album, chances are you'll like this one (especially if you liked songs like Naked and the ... track before that one). Lavigne had more writing freedoms on this CD, and she was not forced to wrap her lyrics in sugar tones and bubble gum (due to the matrix). Here she truly speaks and her words really get through.

Of all the songs on "Under My Skin," the best would be Take Me Away, Together, Don't Tell Me, Nobody's Home, Forgotten, Fall To Pieces, and Slipped Away. How Does It Feel is a good song--especially the bridge--but after that part, it can tend to go on for quite a while. My Happy Ending is okay, but not really the best. Anyway...

For some hard-core music you can shamelessly crank up all the way, you should without a doubt put this album on your list. Lavigne, may you continue to rock on!!
