How can anybody even call this "music"? Its so noisy. Avril's voice is so harsh and screechy that it could strip paint from the walls. The guitars and bass grind and roar, and they sound more like chainsaws going at full speed than musical instruments. The guitars and bass don't play any riffs at all. It just sounds like someone randomly banging the strings with a piece of cement. The drumming sounds more like someone breaking rocks with a jackhammer. The sound quality is VERY poor. It sounds like it was recorded over the telephone.

The lyrics are wordy and awkward. The rhymes are clumsy and jerky, and they interrupt the rythem of the songs:
Ex: "Get out of my head
....Get off my bed
....Yeah, thats what I said.

Or "I thought I liked you a lot
....I'm gonna ask you to stop
....because I'm really upset, really upset.

The negativity in her songs is unbearable. She never sings about anything positive. All she does is whine and complain about how awful her life is.

Another reason why Avril sucks is because she is a bad influence on her fans. Its not a good idea to expose her young, impressionable fans to so much negativity.
